The biggest saving to be made is on the wedding reception. Venues in the UK charge a fortune just for the hire of the room, never mind feeding your hungry guests. Reception catering in the UK doesn't come cheap with even the most basic menu. The food itself leaves a lot to be desired. Food in Cyprus is excellent and they are used to catering for large numbers. The most popular menu for wedding receptions in Cyprus is the BBQ, which would be better described as a banquet. The choice of food is amazing and is creatively presented.

 Most people worry that about the standards of service they will get when they get married abroad. The truth is that Hotels have weddings daily and are well practiced at meeting the needs of even the pickiest brides. Weddings bring a lot of revenue to the hotels so there is a lot of competition. This is great news for couples because it means the Hotels work hard to keep standards high and constantly look for ways to improve. The top wedding hotels have their own wedding coordinators who speak fluent English.
